Hello from Hawaii!

Annual surf trips were a thing for us, taking full advantage of the school breaks we got as teachers. We’ve ventured down under to Australia, caravanned through New Zealand’s sheep-covered terrain and cruised in warangs decorating Indo's cliffside breaks. Our home break, however, will always be right here in Hawaii. Surf aside, we've racked up some mileage on land, too–road tripping across the United States and frequenting places like, California and Colorado (snow!).

So when we got pregnant with Liv, we couldn’t wait to continue our explorations as a growing family; planning her first surf trip to Australia while she was still surfing the womb. As a warm up to that, we island hopped to Maui and Kauai and met Mickey in Disneyland. Australia happened right when she turned one; we celebrated her first birthday–twice–in Australia and then again when we crossed the date line on our flight back home to Hawaii.

Thankfully, Liv inherited our wanderlust gene and has been such an amazing little traveler. We have also learned a thing or two about travel with a tyke–like juggling boards and baby on foreign beaches–or mastering swift, sandy diaper changes in between surf sessions.
